Inset cabinetry showcases doors and drawers that fit precisely inside the face frame openings. This type of cabinet construction gives a full view of the cabinet frame. Clean lines, flush doors, and the options of exposed or concealed hinges are features of inset cabinetry.
FACE FRAME WITH OVERLAY
Overlay cabinetry features door and drawer fronts that almost completely cover the cabinet face, revealing 1/4” of frame between cabinet units. This creates a continuous look and minimizes the visible gaps between each cabinet door.
FRAMELESS WITH FULL OVERLAY
Frameless cabinetry is sometimes called “full access” cabinetry because it offers greater accessibility by eliminating the face frame. To do so, the cabinet relies on thicker box construction for more stability. Only full overlay doors can be used with hinges attached directly to the sides of the cabinet box.

Cabinetry Finishes
Ascent Fine Cabinetry is finished with a premium catalyzed product which is easy to clean as well as water and stain resistant. Our custom finishing allows not only for standard finish offerings, but unique colors, glazes and stains to match your style and design. We offer on-site finishing for best concealment of fasteners associated with applied mouldings. Prefinished options are also available for environments or schedules which do not allow for on-site finishing.
Cabinetry Interiors
Our cabinetry interiors and drawers can be designed to your specification in choice of wood species and organizational features. Maple is our standard interior with walnut and oak interior offerings for the client who desires to add additional customization to their interior cabinetry. Ascent Fine Cabinetry can source other wood species and craft custom multi wood species drawer boxes upon request.
